It may *look* like brain tissue but it almost certainly isn't or I doubt I'd be conscious to see it (and it'd be laced with copious amounts of blood). On the other hand mucus looks a lot like brain tissue already. So it's probably nothing out of the ordinary.

The magic compass dissapears when you get to the car. If you don't drive then there is someone to drive the car who won't see you until you are clothed.

I really wanted that compass. :( It would have been totally worth an unpleasant 2 mile hike.
