Can you imagine how terrifying spiders would be if you were only 1 inch tall?

Lets see.. there are 12 inches in a foot, so however many feet tall you are is how many inches tall you are - in my case just shy of 6. So would I rather be 6 inches tall or 1?

At six inches tall I could still use some devices intended for full-sized people, I expect it might even be easier to use the keyboards on some of those tiny smartphones and PDAs. At one inch tall I'm not sure that there's nearly as many conveniences available. Plus I'd be much more vulnerable and have a much harder time getting around (at six inches I could probably climb a set of stairs, at one inch it'd be like a series of sheer cliffs).

This one would be better if it were one foot tall while maintaining proper proportions (not wide like a midget).

Being one inch tall would make you completely unable to participate in normal life.
