I think I'd rather continue ignoring Justin Beiber (as I have quite adequately so far) than be responsible for a person's death just because I don't care for the music he makes.

I don't know that you're strictly responsible for his death, as if you chose it. Its more that you'd RATHER that happened. Its not like you a pressing the button that kills him.
